BASICS OF RIDING

Basics of Riding Dual Snowboards

At the Base
Walk uphill using your toe edge for grip and control.
Practice walking downhill on your heel edge to get comfortable with balance before riding.
Lift Line & Unloading
In lift lines, always stay on your edges. Use your toe or heel edges to step or push forward. Do not stand flat on the base, as you may slip forward or backward.
When unloading the lift, keep your weight evenly balanced on both boards until you are completely clear of the chair. Use your toe edge to walk away safely.
Riding Downhill
When riding, stay balanced and avoid leaning too far forward or back—think skateboard stance. Start on your toe edge with your lead foot, then smoothly transition to your heel edge, applying equal pressure on both boards and edges.
Dual snowboards feel similar to skateboarding. Your feet move independently, and once in the air the motion feels like an ollie. Turning and stopping work like a traditional snowboard, using your toe and heel edges for control.
